Summer Program Information


Intensive reading and writing programs are offered in convenient two-week sessions. You may take any combination of reading and writing sessions to suit your schedule. A supervised lunch with art and sport activity is available if required. Breaks of fifteen minutes are built into morning and afternoon schedules if the student is taking multiple sessions.

This year we are offering one-on-one lessons and small group lessons from 16th July – 24th August, 2018.

Cost:
$600 per session.

$200 for two weeks of lunch supervision from 12:15 – 1:00 p.m.

Course Descriptions

Penmanship

This course helps students form their letters in printing and cursive through multisensory activities and fun games. Pencil grip will be addressed. Suitable for elementary students.

Writing Mastery I : Step Into Writing©

Creative Writing

For all aspiring authors, groups or individual lessons

Learn how to create unique plots, characters and settings using The 20 Master PlotsProgram© and Plot Genie©. You will discover how to research your characters and where to look for original ideas so that your writing will have depth, insight and credibility.

Writers will engage in many thought-provoking activities and have the opportunity to explore their talents.

Intensive Reading Course

Intensive multi-sensory language reading instruction includes phonics, phonological awareness, fluency, vocabulary acquisition and comprehension. The course is suitable for all students struggling to acquire automatic recall of word meaning and pronunciation. The course is customized for different age-levels. Our teachers are trained in Lindamood-Bell Programs. We use Visualizing and Verbalizing©, Seeing Stars©and Lindamood Phoneme Sequencing©.
